Abstract

The Libido for the Ugly and The Middle Eastern Bazaar are two important texts in Advanced English. Both of them are description. However, they show significant differences in aspect of objectivity, use of figure of speech and language features, etc. Through a comparative study of the differences between The Libido for the Ugly and The Middle Eastern Bazaar, this paper aims to help readers to improve their understanding of the two texts, so as to further help readers to deepen their appreciation of the textual features of classic descriptive texts.
