In English linguistics, an adjunct is a sentence element that provides additional information without being structurally essential. While removing an adjunct does not result in a grammatical error, it often omits important clarifying details. This study investigates the structural aspects of English manner adjuncts and their Albanian equivalents, focusing on both differences and similarities. The research has two primary objectives: to analyze manner adjuncts in a literary context and to compare their structural features in English and Albanian. The analysis is based on the English novel Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and its Albanian translation by Vedat Kokona. Sentences containing manner adjuncts were extracted from both texts, with particular attention to their translation and structural correspondence. Examples of manner adjuncts are presented and elaborated upon to highlight key findings. The study utilized a descriptive-qualitative method to analyze the data. Based on the results of analysis, it can be concluded that there are structural differences and similarities between English manner adjuncts and their correspondents in Albanian.
